The flexibly applicable machines and the required quantity of steel coil are set up on site and the production of the tank can begin. The vessel is produced automatically by a spiral winding and joining of the Coil. The two-step process is divided into the forming process, which gives the tank maximum stability, and the subsequent joining process of the sheet metal. The joining connection is produced by the patented and worldwide unique welding technology of Lipp & Mayer Technologie GmbH, which meets the highest demands on tightness and stability.

Tank production with the patented welding technology makes it possible to meet the challenges of the agricultural and food industry for the storage of various media. The tanks can be manufactured with different steel materials – from black steel to stainless steel of various grades – depending on the application and the goods to be stored. The patented welding technology ensures maximum stability and tightness of the tanks. Tank wall thicknesses from 2 mm to 8 mm can be produced, flexible in diameter and height. This means that tanks for storage of up to 12,000 m³ volume can be manufactured – on site and highly efficiently. The know-how for the patented welding technology enables Lipp & Mayer Technologie GmbH to play a pioneering role internationally in the field of tank manufacture.
