Worldwide unique technology for tank production
The multiple patented welding technology of Lipp & Mayer Technologie GmbH sets new standards in the field of tank production. In the welding technology, the process variations of through-welding or welding bath technology can be used. The tank is created by the automatic welding of a continuously running steel coil which turns spirally in height. The welding technology is the innovative further development of the double folding system and is both unique and ingenious.
The welded joint, which ensures the high stability and tightness of the tank, is realized by simultaneous welding of the inner and outer wall of the tank. The welding process is automated and continuous, while the tank rotates spirally upwards. The welding process is preceded by a forming (angling out) of the sheet metal, which provides additional stability of the tank. The machines specially developed by Lipp & Mayer shape and weld the sheet metal synchronously, thus ensuring rapid production of the tank.
In the countries (EP member states, USA, Canada and Russia) an exclusive license for the use of various patents of the welding technology has already been granted, which is why for these territories neither further licensing, nor the supply or distribution of patent-compliant products is currently possible.
